4 Days Until April Is Due To Foal

I took Raen on her first ride yesterday.. she did so great... this is the first horse I've had that will actually keep up with Tyke. April and Cody... they always lagged behind.. but Im not going to hold it against Cody, he was old and along with Tyke, one of the hardest working horses I've seen.

Vet was out to see April... she's doing good. We have the barn cam set up and I've been sleeping in the living room everynight watching her. Shes so funny. She'll be laying down, and she'll switch every 30 seconds from laying normal to laying flat out, back to normal, flat out, back to normal, etc until she just gets up. It'll be over soon, girly<3.

12 Days Until April Is due To Foal

Nothing has been happening lately.. Mom and I are slowly healing up. We miss Cody terribly, and he has a big place in our hearts, but it is time to move on and remember the amazing times we have had with him. Like when Jake(on SheeRah), Ryott(On Cody) and I(On Tyke) were trail riding and he wouldn't listen to Ryott and went through two narrow trees, completely knocking Ryott off his back. Or when my Mom's ex-boyfriend was stupidly on him in the barn with no tack and he walked into a stall, knocking Flip off onto the ground. And last summer when we went to a party, which we only thought would take 1-2 hours to get to when it really took like 4 or 5. We kind of got lost. We'll miss you Cody, and once again, RIP.

April is only 12 days away from her suspected due date. We'll see how this goes...

17 Days Until April Is due To Foal


MY FUCKING GOD. WHEN WILL IT STOP?

Cody got sick Saturday. I stood with him from dusk when I had to get him up from laying down and far into the night, dressed in shorts and a tank top in the freezing wind and sprinkling rain. could have been worse. I'd do it again. Mom took him down to the barn and checked on him frequently.
I got up early, she did too, i was updating this sunday, stopped when i heard my Mom bawling from outside. No, it couldn't be.

That's right. Cody is dead. Cody, our first horse along with Tyke. Our oldest. Lived to be to the ripe old age of 30. We rescued him from being shot, from a bad situation. We changed this horse from a extremely untrusting, scared, untouchable beasty into a gentle, loving, calm and trusting horse. And now he's gone. No vet would come out to look at him Saturday night. We have no idea what was wrong. Both my mom and I are shaken up badly.. a big chunk of our hearts, our lives, has now died. When will our bad luck be over?
He is now buried in the pasture in which he grazed before he passed away. I can see his grave as I walk up to the driveway, as I pull up into the driveway. I'll visit it often....

Cody you will be missed. Wait for your family in heaven. Please.

Shadow left the same day. Sunday. I have been trying to find her a new home and she found one. One with children, two children. She's loved and adored and hasn't been left alone by those children. I traded her for "Raen", a 14.3hh broke bay QH mare. She was mine to sell to my boyfriend but my Mom stole her from me. I am out both horse and money now. I got screwed over.

This stress is too much. I've lost too many lives in the past few days. I hope the same doesnt happen to April's foal...
